The Aruna Experience: More Than a Resort Stay in Ambergris Caye

A great Belize vacation is about more than where you sleep.

It is about what happens between arrival and departure — the mornings by the water, the unexpected island discoveries, the meals that become part of the trip, and the moments when you decide to do absolutely nothing.

At Aruna Resort & Villas, the resort is designed to be part of that experience.

Here, staying on Ambergris Caye can mean adventure, relaxation, great food, or a little bit of everything.

Start With the Island

Ambergris Caye gives you plenty of reasons to leave the resort.

Spend a day discovering San Pedro, explore the island by golf cart, head out onto the water, or plan a snorkeling adventure around the Belize Barrier Reef.

You can build a full itinerary around exploration, or simply choose one experience and leave the rest of the day open.

The advantage of staying at Aruna is having somewhere peaceful to return to when the adventure is over.

Then Slow Down

Not every day needs an activity.

Sometimes the best part of a Belize vacation is the afternoon you did not plan.

The Aruna infinity pool gives you exactly that opportunity.

Swim. Relax. Read. Enjoy the view.

There is no schedule you need to follow and no reason to rush to the next attraction.

That balance between exploring Ambergris Caye and having time to simply enjoy the resort is part of what makes the Aruna experience different.

Let Dinner Become Part of the Experience

A day on the island deserves a good ending.

And this season, there is something new waiting at the table.

Akasha Restaurant & Lounge has returned with a completely new menu rooted in Belize, inspired by the Caribbean Sea, and reimagined through a contemporary culinary perspective.

Guests can discover new creations such as Akasha Shrimp Ceviche, Local Catch Tiradito, Seared Tuna & Cacao Mole, and Grilled Octopus.

For dessert, Isla Bonita brings together date cake, vanilla ice cream, cardamom crumble, toasted coconut, and caramel sauce in a creation inspired by Ambergris Caye.

The result is an evening that feels connected to the island without requiring you to leave it.

Choose Your Own Version of Belize

There is no single way to experience Aruna.

For an adventurous traveler, the resort can be the comfortable base between reef excursions, island exploration, and days on the water.

For someone looking to disconnect, it can be the place where mornings become slower and afternoons disappear by the pool.

For food lovers, Akasha adds another dimension to the stay.

And for anyone who simply wants to spend a few days somewhere beautiful, there is always the option of doing less.

That flexibility is part of the experience.

Build the Stay Around What You Enjoy

The best itinerary is not necessarily the busiest one.

Choose the experiences that matter most to you and leave enough space to enjoy the moments in between.

You can explore Aruna's current packages or browse the latest resort offers when planning your stay.

Then let Ambergris Caye fill in the rest.

More Than a Place to Stay

Aruna is a place to begin and end your Belize days — but the experience is everything that happens in between.

The reef.

The island.

The pool.

The food.

The quiet moments.

The unexpected ones.

That is what turns a resort stay into a Belize memory.
